Become the ultimate ghost on the battlefield
Sniper Elite: Resistance is a paid period action war game developed by Rebellion. It’s a third-person World War II game focusing on sniping, stealth, and tactical combat. Set in occupied France, it follows Harry Hawker, a French resistance secret agent trying to stop Nazis from winning the World War.
Sniper Elite: Resistance offers a new campaign that runs alongside the story of Sniper Elite 5. Players go through the entire campaign alone or with a friend in co-op mode, where you can share strategies and help your teammates survive tough battles in the backdrop of a ruined European landscape.
Don’t miss any shot
Sniper Elite: Resistance follows Agent Harry Hawker, a Special Operations Executive operative, who uncovers a Nazi superweapon, a Wunderwaffe capable of destroying Allies. Explore the clandestine war fought within occupied France, away from the main battlefields. The X-ray kill cam shows bullet impact as you hit enemies in slow motion, making each shot intense and rewarding. To execute, you must consider wind, gravity, and heart rate before shooting.
You can customize different scopes, barrels, and ammunition to fit your style, whether you prefer sneaking around or going in with guns blazing. It also brings back the Axis Invasion mode, where you can invade another user's game as an enemy sniper, adding an extra layer of challenge and excitement. The game also includes online multiplayer modes, where up to 16 players can compete against each other in a lobby.
You can also team up to fight waves of enemies in survival mode. However, the emphasis on realistic sniping physics can be challenging for newcomers, requiring adjustment and learning. Despite mission variety, some players might find the core gameplay loop repetitive. Its focus on graphic violence, especially with the X-ray kill cam, may not appeal to all players, particularly those sensitive to gore.
Shape your path to victory
Sniper Elite: Resistance is immersive and intense, blending strategic sniping, stealth, and combat in a richly detailed World War II setting. It emphasizes careful planning and precision, as players must consider factors like wind, gravity, and heart rate before taking shots. Despite some learning curves, repetitive gameplay elements, and graphic violence, unsuitable for younger players, it’s a welcome addition to the genre.
